The six storey István Mill, built to be a steam-mill in 1853 stands at the banks of the Élővíz-channel. It was a most modern milling facility of the country.

István Horthy retaining sluice (Horthy István Duzzasztómű)
The biggest sluice of Hungary was built in 1942. Hungary's ruler, Regent Miklós Horthy attended the sluice's inauguration ceremony, since it was originally named for his son, who was killed in World War II (vice-governor István Horthy).

Built in 1863, romantic style, three story silo granary, an outstanding creaton of Miklós Ybl. Despite its very declined condition it is a compelling memory of agriculture.

Mezőhegyes
The MezőhegyesState Stud (Ménesbirtoki Központ)
By establishing the Austrian Imperial and Hungarian Royal Apostolic Stud, a new chapter was opened in the history of Hungarian horse breeding, after Emperor Joseph II. signed the founding book of the Mezőhegyes State Stud (1784). This way the first state stud of the Austro-Hungarian Empire has been established, in order to provide the military with horses and to reach a higher level of horse breeding. The first three traditional Hungarian horse breeds were born here: The Furioso-North, the Gidran and the Nonius. The aim of their breeding was to be suitable for military purposes: big body mass, strong physique and bearing big workloads.
Indoor Riding Hall
Built around 1810 in “empire” style, based on plans by János Hild. The open roof is a building-structural peculiarity. The bronze embossing on the wall of the Riding Hall depicts Emperor Joseph II.

Water tower – Panorama Look-out tower (Víztorony - Panoráma Kilátó)
The water tower is in Gyopáros, in the waterpark. It is a memory of industrial history, a look-out tower and an exhibition space in one. Going upwards the spiral stairs, we can delight in nature and the environment, as well as we are given a museum experience.
Can only be visited in summer, in the beach season upon prior appointment.
The last of its kind Horse-mill in Szarvas is an antique type mill. This type was widespread until the XIX. Century. It is called Horse-mill (Dry-mill in Hungarian) because it operated with horse-power and not water. It was shut in 1962, the last in Hungary. After restoring in 2010, it is fully operational. It awaits its visitors with milling demonstrations.
